Letter from employer when you're self-employed?

Hi all and happy new year!

I'm currently doing a spousal sponsorship inland application. One of the requirements is:

Employment/Source of Income - You need to show that you can support the person(s) you are sponsoring.
If you are working in Canada, provide an original letter from your current employer stating your period of employment, salary, and regular hours per week.

If I am self-employed, would I just write the letter myself? How would I go about this?

Thanks so much in advance for all the help and advice!

I would also include bank statement copies + T4s to better prove your income.

Just writing a letter yourself could be considered self stated income which doesn’t need prove anything.
