Hi,
I have applied for a PR under spouse sponsorship category Inland
My time line shows:
1. Application received 31.July
2. We sent you correspondence on October 26, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible.
3. Medical results have been received. (They haven't include date, but it should be 1st week in December 2016)
4. We sent you correspondence on December 12, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. (Almost the same documents they have asked in October 26, 2015)

My spouse (sponsor got a letter that he met the requirements as sponsor) in December 13, 2016

Then in March 2017, I have been contacted by CIC officer in Vancouver, asking for more documents (the same documents like in point 2 and 4 above), and I got a deadline in April. The officer said she wants to confirm if our relationship is genuine.

I have sent all the requested documents, then few days later (April 26, 2017) she sent another letter to my spouse to inform that he met the requirements as sponsor

And she sent me this letter:

"This refers to your application for permanent residence as a member of the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class. It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident status under this class.

However, a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements.

As your application for permanent residence has received first stage of approval, you may now apply for an open work permit. You may also apply for a study permit if you wish to attend school. Be sure to include a letter from the educational institution you plan to attend. The letter should outline the type of course or program you are registered for, the start date and the expected completion date. You may send your work and/or study permit application(s) to our Case Processing Centre in Vegreville, Alberta to be processed. For general information and to obtain application kits, please visit our website"

a. Does anyone know what stage am I at now?
b. e-case shows in process, with now updates with my communication with CIC Vancouver Officer?
c. What is the next step usually happen after this letter?

You got AIP (approval in principle). You already had SA (Sponsor approval) since December 13, 2016 according to what you wrote, so the next step will be the DM (Decision Made) letter, which could happen relatively fast. Few weeks after the DM letter, you will receive a landing interview appointment and you will be done!

landing office only, because you need the confirmation of permanent residency letter to land, and for inland applicants, they give it to you at your landing appointment.

Both the sponsor and applicant must attend landing interview together at a local IRCC office.

Requirement of inland app is that sponsor and applicants are living together inside Canada during the application process, so any long absences spent apart or outside the country, could jeopardize the application.

Now I wish we have never applied Inland

I spend 3-4 months in Canada with my husband, then I travel home for 6 months before I travel back to Canada (he visits sometimes as well during this period)

Inland application makes things more complicated for no benefits (except the Open Work Permit, but it's longer processing time)

I am now worry, after started to feel that i am close to the end

If the visa officer were to learn of your situation, there is a high chance they would simply cancel your application as not meeting the conditions to apply inland.

However as it's gotten this far, perhaps they haven't noticed the extended time apart. Don't count on this to continue though. You should make an effort to spend all remaining time INSIDE Canada with your sponsor until you have completed your landing interview and are a PR.

Why on earth did you submit an Inland application, if you had no intention of remaining IN Canada?!

Yikes! If the officer asks you when your last entry was into Canada, you must be completely honest with him/her. If you ARE asked, you'll probably have no choice but to explain things.

This could be why you were being asked for additional proof, because they know that you were not really residing in Canada with your sponsor/partner. Unfortunately, you won't know until you attend your landing interview...or are questioned by CBSA when you attempt to re-enter Canada.

Good luck!

I didn't know how complicated is the Inland application when I applied... plus I was in Canada that time

I was reading the post and the following paragraph caught my attention.

"However, a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements."

Can someone please clarify the sentence in bold. Does this mean every member of the family including the sponsor who is a Canadian citizen must also provide medical, security and background checks? If so I don't recall having to fill out the form for me when sponsoring my wife and we also have a daughter (Canadian). Do all of us have to medical, security and background checks?
