Apologies for post this on the wrong thread.
An employer from Canada has contacted me and is ready to offer a job. What is that my employer needs to do, as my job code falls under the special category for IT workers where HRSDC approval is not required? But if I check on the procedure at CIC website it states the below as one of the requirements
"Proof of employment in Canada
Your job offer letter or contract from your prospective employer, and the file number provided by Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC) to locate the labour market opinion (confirmation). Your employer should be able to provide you with this file identifier;
Evidence that you meet the requirements of the job, possibly including specific educational requirements or past work experience possibly outlined in a resume; "
Is my employer still required to get in touch with HRSDC and seek approval or is it just file identifier number for which he should get in touch with them.
Please advise.
