I very much doubt that people in your area got their ceremony one week after they had their test. Frankly because one week is not enough time to let you know when and where to appear for your ceremony. They let you know with a letter about 2 weeks in advance.

When I did my test last summer, they had a powerpoint explanation on how to take the test. One of the screens said that the ceremony would be approximately 3 months after the test. I was planning to travel so I asked my local CIC office how it works and they said it would normally be 2-4 months. I ended up having mine actually a bit less than 2 months after my test.

I already told you that you should be patient and wait. You are not even 2 months yet, since you had it on May 25th. You are about week short of 2 months. Posting here and worrying about it is not going to make it happen faster. Go to your local CIC office and ask them how long it normally takes. My office told me 2-4 months. Maybe yours is busier.

Then wait if they told you to wait. Once it gets to 3 months, ask them again.

He needs a holiday from college? I don't think so. One day to fly to Canada, one day for ceremony, one day to fly back. He will miss some classes but it will not make or break his year.

He will have to turn in his PR card at the ceremony but he keeps his passport and can fly back. He can apply for a Canadian passport later through the Canadian embassy where he lives.
