LEON: Do I really need record of movement from CBSA?

Do I really need record of movement from CBSA? I have all the departure stamps in my passport from outside Canada.For entry into Canada I have Travel Certificates and copies of airline ticket/statement of frequent flyer from airline etc.Are those Ok to prove my entry to Canada or it is mandatory to have CBSA record? I would like to mention that I have in my application authorized CIC to take my record of movement from CBSA yet I want to keep this record handy at the time of interview.

No. you don't need to. This is not MANDATORY thing. When you apply for Citizenship, in application itself, CIC ask you to get permission for getting your CBSA report if you remember.

Unless, CIC send you a letter ask, you don't need to. Or in case where you have missing stamp on passport and you do not have any other proof to show your physical presence then it is a good idea to have one to prove.

I requested it because I did not have a entry stamp in my passport.

If you gave CIC permission to get your records, you don't HAVE TO get the CBSA report. But why wouldn't you want to see if your records match up with theirs? If you don't get your own copy of the CBSA report, you won't know what CIC is looking at.
