Length of stay for Supervisa - now is it 5 years?

Hey guys,
My parents finally got the PPR for the supervisa after 8 months. Question, If the insurance is for 1 year, would the entry stamping officer only allow my parents to come here for 1 year?
Can anyone share their recent experience at Pearson airport, if the entry officers are allowing 5 years?

Officers have the discretion to determine the length of an extension. If an application meets the necessary requirements, officers should consider the following when determining the length of the extension:

• the applicant’s means of support while in Canada
• whether the applicant has provided proof of current private health insurance from a Canadian company, and the duration of the policy
