HI
I am a immigration aspirant from India. I have a masters degree in Biotechnology and research experience(molecular biology) for 4 years and teaching microbiology for graduate students for 6 years as a assistant professor. I am married and having a daughter of 2.0 year.
I have initiated the process of applying for PR and am at the initial stage and sceptical as well as optimistic about. A lot of information I gathered from the internet websites, discussion forum and youtube videos regarding immigration to Canada, the life there, , challenges and opportunities. I was informed about my work experience in Canada which will not be taken into account to a larger extent while applying for job in Canada.
In the backdrop of this information, I would like to seek your advice in choosing my career path in Canada. As per my plan, I will land in Canada after I receive PR , and settle down with a supportive job until I come across with the job of choice. If I don’t get a job in the field I desire, in the second year I would like to study a course (most likely a co op program in food science technology, a 2 year crash course ). My another plan is to do PhD in biology, and I guess which would take nearly 4.0 years. Can u advice me as which plan is better. Do u think education in Canada can give me a better prospect in getting a job?.I am sure, I wont be able to relocate my family until I get a stable job in Canada.
Can u also suggest me some courses or programs which can make my career path stronger. I have 3 year bachelors in microbiology, zoology and chemistry and 2 year masters in biotechnology followed by work experience stated above. I hope your reply will boost my confidence to a higher level. Also let me know whether my education credential is equivalent to bachelors of masters in Canada ( for CRS).
Regards
