leaving US After filing for buffalo

Hello members,

can anybody help me in my case...i refiled from buffalo as my application was send back after 2 weeks as i left blank insted of writing N/A almost 3 weeks ..ago.
Now i have to leave USA this march end as we were on L1.


will my application be still valid if i give alternate corresponding address once i receive AOR.

Any insight appreciated...

Your application will be valid, but it will probably be transferred to the office servicing the country you're going to be living in.

Once you leave US and give some correspondance address you will receive communications to that address.However, the time when ur passports will be requested it might be difficult to come back to US to send the passports.U will not be able to courier passports from your native country.

Ur file might get transferred to where ever u r moving.

My medical request finally arrived and my friend forwarded to me. Along with the medical request was there also a request for an updated FBI clearance certificate.

What should I do now? Notify the immigration office about the change in my residence in writing?

For Immigration you are supposed to inform the Visa Office immediately regarding any change in the status. FBI Clearance can be obtained while you are not in US as well. Not an issue. Your DMP is going to be other than US, though you can do medicals anywhere, but, I am not sure how you will explain not taking meds in US.

If your country doesnt allow Passport to be couriered, then it will again be a problem....

You should have gone with informing the VO and changing it to your place of residence.

Now a days the Process is pretty quick. No need to fixate on one Visa Office. Better to make your home country and where you will be residing as Primary Visa Office for processing. Its always better to be safe than later running into complications. If you later change the Visa Office, after leaving US, that will cause unnecessary delays.

Breath deep and make your home country as your processing center
