Leaving Canada while in processing for Permanent Residency for PEQ QSW

Hi All,

I've tried to find the answer to my question on this forum but have had no luck thus far. My husband is a French citizen who has been working on a closed temporary work permit in Quebec for the past 2 years. I (an American) have a OWP under him. We got our CSQ's under PEQ and applied for permanent residence a month ago. However, my husband got offered a position in his company's headquarters in the U.S. yesterday. If we leave Canada while in processing for QSW based PR would that jeopardize our application for PR? Even if he takes this job in the U.S. we would like to move back to Quebec in 3 years (so as to maintain PR - 720 day rule).

Hi, thanks for your question! Well, it's been 2 years already. I'm in the same situation, I did my grad studies in montreal, got my owp and I'm working in a consulting company here, recently applied for the PEQ program inland. But recently I got a job offer from France - 12 months contract. I would like to work there and come back in one year.
