leaving Canada one week after PR Card expires... HELP!!!!!

Hi everyone,

I am leaving Canada to the Philippines on March 27,2016. Problem is my PR Card will expire on March 19, a week after the flight. my question is will they ask for my PR when boarding? I already renew my PR card 4 months ago but wont be able to get it by the time I leave the country even though I put it under urgent processing cause I noticed at the CIC site they are still working on August 2015 applications.. Will they let me leave even though my PR card has just expired for one week? I know when coming back I have to apply for a travel document and how long will it take to process it? I will be staying there for 5 weeks. Pls help me...

1. No, you won't be asked for PR card when leaving Canada.
2. It appears PRTDs are taking about a week to be processed if you are in compliance with your Residence obligations.
