Hi, I am currently working in Canada and living in Montreal on an open work permit visa which will expire on May 2025. I've been selected and submitted my express entry application under the federal skill worker program on the 19th of August, and doing the biometrics and medical appointments this week.
However, I am strongly considering going back to my home country (France), for several reasons, while waiting for my application to be processed:
-not satisfied with my current job
-being present and helping my family because my father is not very well health-wise.
I know the express entry process takes a maximum of 6 months. What will happen if I leave Canada indefinitely and intend to go back only once my application is finalised? Is this possible?
