Leaving and re-entering Canada after PGWP Approval on the IRCC Site

Hi,

I was hoping if you guys could help me out with a few queries regarding the PGWP process and my travel status.

So I recently graduated from a Canadian University and applied for my PGWP, which got approved today. The approval status only shows up on the IRCC site, and I am yet to receive my physical copy for the same.

I had a query regarding my travel status. So I still have a Canadian Visa of Student Class (type of visa is S-1) stamped on my passport, and it expires on 31st December 2023. I got it when I received my Study Permit. I was wondering if I could leave and re-enter Canada based on my Student Visa of type S-1, even though I am yet to receive the physical copy of my PGWP and my S-1 type is valid till December 31st 2023? I had travel plans to the US so was hoping to seek advice for it.

Would highly appreciate your time and help on this, thanks a lot!

Do you have a valid TRV? To travel in and out of Canada you need to have a valid TRV not the PGWP.
