Hello, I just created my express entry profile. I’m qualified for CEC and I have 1+ year of full time work experience in Canada.
Previous to that, I worked in the US. The letter of employment that my company provided for me states that I was employed from 11/2019 to 11/2022, and that while employed, I went on a 4-month leave of absence.
Now, in my profile, I matched the employment period to the letter of employment, from 11/2019 to 11/2022, giving me exactly 3 years of foreign work experience, increasing my score by a bit. I’m wondering if that’s going to give me issues later in the process. For context, 3 out of the 4 months were unpaid.
Would it be better if I break my employment period in my profile to 2, before and after the leave? Or does it not matter? I appreciate any advice, thank you.
