Hi there! So my LMO said my work is for 8 hours a day or 160 hours per month with an hourly rate of $10.38 but on my contract, it is stated that my salary is $1800 per month which is roughly $130 more than what's stated on my LMO. So, to make things work out for ME, my employer and I amended the contract and increased the WORKING HOURS from 40 per week to 44 per week or from 160/month to 176 hours per month so I can use the hours to apply under Option 2. We did not change the salary as my hourly rate would still fall under the average salary for caregivers in Alberta ($10.22/hour or $449.68 per week, $1798.72 per month). To amend the contract, we just included an annex in my contract stating the changes and we signed it.
My question is, would this difference affect my application for PR? I know that the LMO is technically not a part of the PR application process but if you have to submit the Declaration of Hours worked, there's a section where you have to put the LMO confirmation number. Do you think they would check my LMO records or would everything be okay as long as everything's black and white and on paper signed by me and my employer?
PS. I did call the service canada regarding the LMO and they couldn't give me a clear answer. All I get is that the old LCP is gone (uhmmm... well... that's uh not exactly what I was asking but ok)
Thank you!
