Dear Experts,

My wife doesn't have a Surname in the Passport and in all other documents of her's. The express entry profile is also created in accordance with the guidelines provided. i.e. In cases like this, Put First Name as SURNAME and Leave the Given name as Blank.

Since all her documents are without Surname, her WES evaluation, IELTS, are also without Surname.

However, post our marriage (3 years ago) her Surname was updated in her company profile and her name changed there. Hence in her experience letter she will be having the Surname.

Now, How to handle this situation? Should we try to get the SURNAME deleted from the company database?
Or Update her Passport with Surname (based on Marriage Certificate), Modify name in EE Profile and Explain in LOE that WES and IELTS were done before the name change and were in accordance to previous passport.

Any past similar experience or any pointer will be helpful.

Also I have been posting few questions in this forum, people here are awesome and always tries to help each other. I am thankful to you guys.

KR,
Abhinav

Thanks Preet Singh Ji, I want to confirm about what must be explained in LOE

1. Change the name in passport and explain in LOE about IELTS and WES.
OR
2. Don't Change the name in passport, Get the experience letter with SURNAME and explain this in LOE?

Also, do you know someone who did the 1st option and was successful? I just want to be sure about my next move.

Thanks for your understanding.

Just mention about the name change that happened with the reason that you have.
For safer side, attach an affidavit to legitimize it.
