Last name change to spouse

I have not legally changed my name to my husband's. When I am granted residency will they give me an option to change it? or is that something I will need to do later on in Canada?

If you updated your passport, you can send a scanned copy via e-mail to the visa office handling your case with an explanation. That worked for my wife.
