Hi,

I've been nominated by Ontario, using the Employer driven program for International Student with job offer.
My job is NOC B.

The document checklist has the language test as mandatory to submit, but I believe it's not applicable to me.

I found here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/pnp.asp

I think it clearly states that NOC C and D must have a language test, unless they are in one if the exception categories.
I can't seem to find however anything that mentions NOC O, A and B regarding language requirements for PNP nominees.

That makes me think they imply that PNP nominees in NOC O,A,B do not need language test when they apply for PR. I certainly did not need one to get the nomination.

I might be paranoid, but I'd expect to find that somewhere clearly mentioned in IRCC website..

Any thoughts/experience/input?

Thanks!

I'm on the same page. See my post here canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/cic-stop-issuing-aor-t450373.45.html

Certainly, CIC's wording is the opposite of clear, but what is quite conclusive, in my opinion, is that they ask for a minimum CLB 4 for NOCs C and D, but they don't specify a minimum CLB for NOCs 0, A and B. If language testing was required for NOCs 0, A or B, with the regulations on hand, there would be no ground for an immigration officer to reject an application in NOC 0 with a submitted IELTS scoring 0 in all the skills, because it's nowhere stated what is the minimum CLB.

I think there is NO language requirements for PNP - PR application in NOC 0, A and B ( paper - based )

read this link :
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2012/2012-04-11.asp

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/message.asp

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
From this link :
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob441.asp

" In September 2011, Federal-Provincial-Territorial (FPT) Deputy Ministers agreed to add minimum language criteria to the requirements for NOC applicants in NOC C and D occupations.
As of July 1, 2012, most Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants in National Occupation Classification (NOC) Skill Levels C and D occupations will be required to undergo mandatory language testing and achieve a minimum standard of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 in each of the four abilities (listening, speaking, reading and writing) prior to obtaining a provincial nomination certificate.

Applicants will also be required to include a copy of their language test results when submitting their application for permanent residence to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
As of July 1, 2013, all NOC C and D Provincial Nominees will have to provide a copy of their language test results with their application for permanent residence. "

They never talk about NOC 0, A and B Provincial Nominees :'(

I applied under Ontario International Masters students and even thought I provided my IELTS to Ontaio PNO, IRCC still required it, so send your English test with your application to avoid it to being returned to you

Yes, your stream requires an English test before you get the nomination, so you provided them to Ontario, got the nomination and so IRCC is also requesting the test to be submitted, that is different than my case actually..

I applied under an Employer driven stream, so no English test was required by Ontario (I never took one), I got the nomination and thus I don't believe IRCC will request English test results from a nominee in my stream.

Hi Evanstp9,

I found your post in forum, and I just met the same problem with you. I believe that you have applied successfully, so I want to confirm if we do not need English test under the stream International Student with Job Offer with NOC A or B.

Thank you!
