Yes if you apply for PR you will need to prove that you are proficient in at least one of the two languages in Canada, French and English.
she is under live in caregiver program for Permanent resident program and I checked the website today , there was none.

So you are saying that caregivers wanting to become PR's don't need to adhere to the language requirements set by the government?
according to the website, under LCP, English exams was not mentioned as one of the requirements. I really thought, there was because before I heard they would make some changes for LCP.
Back in the day, they don't require LCP English exams.
However, I decided to call them tomorrow.

Categorically speaking, there were no English requirements under the Live-in caregiver program for permanent resident applications. However, this program was closed way back in 2014.
Those caregivers after 2014, have a new program, Caring for minors or mental disability, this one needs an English score.
I was confused first because my friend is a Live in Caregiver, arrived in November 2016. She was confused about the application. I tried to google in CIC, LCP program pop up, the old program. I heard before they would change that program, LCP.
So, I end up calling CIC.
In summary, those caregivers after 2014, they are now under Caring for minors or mental disability category, their pathway for pr visa
