Language Proof for Citizenship

Pls i need your help as regarding the language proficiency to apply for citizen.I have canadian Language benchmark the one me and my wife did in 2013.Can we use that result of CLB or can we tender transcript from back home?.Also my passport back home has expired because i dont have cause to travel.Do i need to right a letter to back it up?

The old CLB can be used only if you have used it with your PR application.
About the passport, I would either renew it at the consulate or if that's not an option i would write an explanation with the citizenship application.

Again the CLB score as such is not a valid proof of proficiency in the language. A certificate from the CLB of having attended ESL (if English) classes to have then attained an acceptable score is the proof they are looking for. A third party language assessment score is valid, though, even if expired.
Yes, transcripts/ degree certificate is fine as well if you were educated back home in one of the official languages of Canada...
