Hi, can anyone who are currently studying or have graduated from any of these institutions share their experiences? I am planning to take up PDD in Business Administration at Langara College or Business Administration Diploma with Management Concentration at NAIT.

  1. I'm kinda torn with the cost of living in Vancouver vs. Edmonton. How is it like for either of the two?
  2. Weather? Does Edmonton really get deathly winters and does the rain in Vancouver really take up much the year?
  3. Langara College's curriculum is taken consecutively - meaning no breaks vs NAIT having 4 months break. It will allow me to do some full time work and save up for the next few terms.
  4. How is the program like at either of the two?
  5. How are the institutions like? The educators and the environment?
  6. How are the job prospects after graduation for a business diploma in Edmonton or Vancouver?

Thank you!

Vancouver is far more expensive than Edmonton while Edmonton has much colder and snowier winters. It rains in Vancouver perhaps 40% of the time.

To be honest, there's a lot of new international graduates with business diplomas out there, so your employment prospects really depend on how much you can distinguish yourself from the crowd.

Thank you for your insights! I've read from threads posted before that it's harder to get an ITA from BC than AB. Are you familiar whether or not it is the same now (like pre-pandemic or during pandemic)?

Thank you!
