Where will anyone save his savings once landing in Canada!!?? I took me 2 month to have a Bank account in UK! What about Canada?

It took me half an hour to open an account AND deposit the money I had with me. Don't worry, all you need is to go to the bank and tell them that you are a newcomer and that you would like to ask help in opening a new account. I opened an account with Scotiabank because they had the Startright program for new immigrants. I am not endorsing but I wanted to let you know that you need not worry about that.

1. First land, give local address for PR Card.
2. Next date/ same day visit service canada for SIN
3. Same day/ next date go to bank and open account.( take passport, CoPR, printout from SIN card office )

So, it will not take more than 2 days to open account in Canada after landing.

You can even open a International bank account online even before landing, transfer all the money there and when you land you can show your statement and when in Canada change the bank account address to local. Citibank offers this service last i checked.
