Hi guys,
Very special thanks to all the members, especially the seniors who helped me a lot.
My question: I am landing by the end of the month. Myself, my wife, and my daughter. I have some stuff that I need to take with me, assuming it's between 10 and 15 middle size moving boxes. I am driving 6 hours to Montreal borders. Should I buy a mini van? Or get a rental? The quote for U Haul is 600-800.
Any insights will be very helpful.

Thank you again and good luck.

You should find out about insurance in Canada. I heard it is expensive.

Hicham437,

congratulation..!!!!!

Could you please share u'r timeline with us. We are also planning to do our landing via land .....just the difference is you already got u'r visa and we are waiting for PPR after medicals from Detroit.

To me grehound is not a bad option if you have somebody to catch you on the other hand. It will be alot cheaper. I thing 2 bags are allowed for each passanger and for every extra bag or bax you have to pay 10 dollars....Still will be cheaper than renting u hall....you can go to the greyhound bus stop and make things clear about that....

Hope everything will go smooth......Please share you experiences with us..

Wish you good luck.
