Landing Questions

I have a few questions about landing, it seems so confusing now...

1. Some people are receiving calls from CIC to "landing appointments". In my COPR it was just stated that to land you can either flagpole or book an appointment, there is no mention about this new method. Is this new method even real or realiable?

2. Some landing points state they are open 24h or 7 to 23, but then they state that officers are only present during office hours on weekdays. Is this true? I don't know what to believe. Is anyone there on weekends?

3. What documents need to be brought? Some people said to bring all of the old visas and permits but I have like 10... don't even know where all of them are

4. Is there a problem if the "destination" in the COPR does not match with the current address because of moving?

Yes, interviews are a new method and it is more reliable in my opinion. Mistakes on the CoPR can be corrected at the office itself.
2. Some landing points state they are open 24h or 7 to 23, but then they state that officers are only present during office hours on weekdays. Is this true? I don't know what to believe. Is anyone there on weekends?
Busy border offices have staff 24x7, but during odd hours CBSA might not be able to reach CIC for any questions if they might have. So better to do your landing at the border during regular business hours. That being said, hardly ever happens that CIC has to be called.
3. What documents need to be brought? Some people said to bring all of the old visas and permits but I have like 10... don't even know where all of them are
Address Proof, CoPR are mandatory. Good to have - Proof of funds, latest permit and or visa, job contract letter.
4. Is there a problem if the "destination" in the COPR does not match with the current address because of moving?
Just mention it to the officer at the border or the officer at the interview office. You should be fine.

Hi

Booking an appointment is the same as the new method. Instead of you choosing to arrange an appointment CIC are doing it for you.

Thx

Thanks for your replies. I called the number on the COPR, the automatic response said "there is a high volume of calls, please call later". So basically the only option is flagpoling...

also to everyone writing emails to CIC, write to Ottawa not to Sydney! I just got a reply from Sydney to an email sent almost 2 months ago, saying to communicate to Ottawa, that is why COPR was sent to my old address... this is so crazy and stupid
