I am just curious to know, what is the procedure of landing for those who are already in Canada? Do they travel to the international airports within Canada and proceed to the immigration desk ?

Thank you.

No, they travel to a border, go to the US side and return to Canada to be landed. There is a an exception for skilled workers, who have arranged employment, worked in Canada on a valid work permit for at least a year, still in possession of the work permit, they can be landed at a local CIC.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I actually read an experience story on another board from somebody who "landed" in Canada Place in Edmonton (government offices building downtown). He had heard that you could, phoned the call centre, they said no, he went and tried it anyway and found out that he could but the requirement was that you had to have lived in Canada for at least a year which he had so they processed him. If you live close to the border, no big deal but if it's quite a drive, it might be worth it to ask your local immigration office if you can "land" there.

Thank you for both of your valuable inputs.
Leon, if someone has been residing in Canada for 2 years and live in Vancouver. What will be his/her provision for landing? Can he/she report to the immigration office at the airport or fly out of the country (may be to Seattle)? Your advise about asking the local immigration office or call center is valuable!

Thank you for your time.
