Hi

We are planning to land in Canada (Skilled Worker)from USA and return back to USA

We are planning to land in Vancouver, BC in Nov 2006. Is that a problem? We mentioned Toronto as the place in the application form?

How do I show the proof of funds?

Can I give my friends address in Edmonton, AB for the PR cards/

Please advice

Thanks
Tina

1. There will not be a problem, as long as you are able to maintain your PR status by 2 years residency in 5 years.
2. Either, traveller's cheques, cash, bank statement, cashiers cheque. Don't forget if you are carrying more than 10K you must declare it on leaving the US and entering Canada.
3. Your friends address is fine.

Thanks PMM.

Will the Immigration officer at Vancouver question why did you land in Vacouver while application says "Toronto"?

Also the friends address is in Edmonton, Alberta? I heard that they might not give PR card if I mention this is my "Friends" address

Thanks

It doesn't matter where you land unless it is Quebec, where you require a CSQ. 99.9% the IO won't care where you are landing, and it is unlikely to question the mailing address, if so, then once you return to Canada permanently, you just have to apply for a PR card.
