I have a tricky situation. My application to sponsor my parents is progressing. IRCC now is asking my parents to submit their passport to the nearest visa centre. Now the issue is, my mom (Principal Applicant) is inside Canada on a TRV for the next 4 months, and my dad (dependant) is in home country. The instruction sent by IRCC says to contact them via the webform to state my situation, which I will do. I just want to know if anyone else has similar situation and how it worked out for you?
My guess is, my dad will only submit his passport to get CoPR, which would require him to visit Canada within a year and do the landing at port of entry. And my mom will get eCoPR, land virtually, and have her PR card made and mail to Canadian address.
Is my guess correct? What happens if my mom had to leave Canada before she get her eCoPR or PR card?
