Hey all,
Just wanted to share my landing experience today. I received my COPR last Friday and drove down this morning to the US/Canada border. Arrived at the US side and told them the intentions of my visit, paid the $6 fee and I was on my way. We stopped off at a store in the US and returned 1hr later via the same bridge.
Informed the Canadian immigration that I was intending to activate my PR, he told me where to go and welcomed me to canada. I went into the office, gave my document to the officer, he took the paperwork, stamped my passport, signed the COPR and welcomed me as a new Canadian PR.
The whole process took less than 10 mins with no questions other than if I had committed any offences.
Told me that my PR card should take 4-5 weeks in the post.
Overall a really smooth process and a huge relief! Good luck to all those outstanding!
