Landing in CIC Edmonton - do they send email confirmation

Hi guys,

Just want to ask who have already tried landing in CIC Edmonton office.

Do they send an email with appointment details?

I'm asking because I scheduled a landing appointment with them in March 9. CIC edmonton called back on March 10 and said my landing appointment is on April 8. But I didn't receive any emails from them with the appointment details. is this fine?

Coz I saw in some threads here that an email confirmation is sent when there is already a landing date.

Why would you need one? They have already called which is much better than an email.
