Landing in Canada

Just wondering - Does the sponsor have to be with the permanent resident when they land in Canada? (I am the sponsor and we are thinking that when we move, my husband will drive a moving van across the border and I might fly with the kids)

No. The PA can 'land' all by themselves! I assume the 'kids' are Canadian already and don't have to 'land'?
