Landing in Canada

Do we need transit visa for some countries while coming to Canada if we have any halts .
My wife will be landing in Canada for the first time.

It list all countries and territories whose citizens need a visa to enter Canada and countries and territories whose citizens do not need a visa (visa exemptions).

Not sure if Europe/Schengen/UK requires the transit visas.

There is always the option of coming via Dubai/Doha/Abu Dhabi, or fly Indian airline direct to Canada, and avoid transit visa issues.

Most of the Airports are listed online. Check them out. They spell out clearly if a transit visa is required or not. Alternately, speak to you travel agent, if you booked through one.
