Hello,
I am planning to drive to Vancouver from USA and complete my landing formalities. I have a couple of questions:
1. On crossing into BC from Washington, where should I complete my landing process? On looking at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/listing/indexpages/indextype38-e.html, there are two CBSA offices accross Blaine, WA (port of exit from USA) when I am driving on I5 North towards the US-Canada border - DOUGLAS and PACIFIC HIGHWAY. Both of them are at different locations. Should I drive to a specific location or the immigration officer will guide me to one of these offices when I cross the border?
2. I will be returning back to USA after 5 days. So, I will be giving my friend's address in Toronto for my PR card. I have read in this forum that sometimes the immigration officers do not process the PR card if they know that we are going back after completing the landing process and we need to apply for the PR card later when we land permanently. While, in other cases there are no question asked. Does that happen very frequently these days?

Thanks in advance for all your replies.

1. Douglas and Pacific Hwy are about a mile apart. Probably faster at Pac Hwy, less construction.
2. It is up to the officer.
