Landing in Canada from USA

Hi All,

I got canada visa and CPR 2 days back. I stay in USA(minnesota). I am planning to land in canada but have few questions,

Can I land in canada just to complete PR process for a day and come back to US ?
Or I need to land in canada kinda permanently?

My personal plan is to go and finish the PR process and come back to USA as I've my work n family here. Subsequently I plan to look for a job and settle in canada may be next year.

Has anyone done this thing before? if yes please share the experience.

Also please let me know where I can land in canada by driving ( I am near to duluth Minnesota)

Hi,

Yes you can land to complete the requirements and return to the US. Few comments:

- You have to live 3 out of 5 years in canada or you can loose the PR
- You need to find someone who to send the PR card in Canada
- You can cross at FORT FRANCES BRIDGE - International falls MN
