Landing in Canada - application PR Card

Hi , we are due to land in Canada, however after 4 weeks we must return to Europe to finalise
sale of house

Should we apply for PR card when we land ?

Or should we wait until we return about 8 weeks later ?

Application of the PRC is done during your landing. So be ready with an address that you will give so that the can post your PRC. I am also in Europe landed in September and returned and waiting for PRC. Please PM me and i will give you some information.

It is entirely up to ur decision...... if u want ur Pr cards in ur nxt visit you can request for that upon landing ...... This is same process with Sin Card, Bank account etc.

If he is going to postpone the application of PRC then why is he landing at this point in time. he should better wait in his home. many people land because the want to have their PRC, and upon landing th visa will be cancelled , how will he return to Canada.

I am not an expert, please contact the seniors for this important question.

Landing is a seperate issue and getting PRC ,SIN, BA are separate .... What do u mean by above red line ??? If somebody returns back without PRC he has to get Travel docs from the local Canada consulate which is matter of 2 working days........

Thanks for the clarification. if he has to apply for travel documents then, that will be fine. He should read and understand all of this issues.
