I have checked a few of those places online a while ago and I found them to be more expensive than the ones in the US. The ones I checked were in Calgary area.

1 bed apartments are on avg 150 dollar cheaper in Edmonton compared to Calgary. I was checking on craigslist.

Thanks.

But isn't it that Calgary has more and better paying jobs than Edmonton?

Also I was looking at some SW and NE 1 bed room apartments which were for around $800p/m.

But I guess it all depends upon the money we might make and how close they are to office.!!!

Best is NW in terms of safety, people and community. Calgary has good paying High tech jobs as mostly Oil & Gas companies have offices in Calgary but Education, family life and social life in best in Edmonton. 800 is good deal but if includes utilities.

Yes. NW is the best and expensive region. Drive to downtown in peak traffic is horrible. SW is second best and relatively cheaper. NE is so so but is close to downtown. There is airport construction/expansion going in in NE.

I guess the place to stay is more determined by where we work.
