Hi,

My Husband sponsored me in 2014 September on family sponsorship. He is a canadian citizen.
And my PR got approved 2 months before only.
Things got changed and we have moved to India, as my PR was delaying.

1. Can I land in a different province ?
(Husband sponsored me from Toronto, Ontario. But I do not have any one in Toronto now.
I have a cousin staying in vancouver , so wanted to know if i can land in vancouver just to finish landing procedures by staying there for 2 weeks? )

2.He is not accompanying me now. We are planning to come back to Canada only by end on 2017.
Is there any issues , as my sponsor is not in Canada currently?
Do i need to carry any xerox or originals of Husband's goverment documents?

Thanks
Swapna

Hi! I have the same issue.
So you cannot land in Quebec if your spouse sponsored you from Ontario ? I have my COPR and all but my spouse and I are moving to Quebec soon since he just got a job there.
What are my options?

Your first landing place in Canada is your port of entry. That's where the process of immigration takes place.
Get a connection flight from there to Quebec.
For example land in Vancouver or Toronto or Edmonton or anywhere other than Quebec.
