I just crossed the border from Seattle through I-5N and I didn't go through Canadian border or at least I didn't realize that maybe I did until I was already in Canada. I went through a border officer but I thought that he was American and asking me exit interview type questions and I thought that next will be the Canadian officer, I had no idea that it is only one checkpoint and after crossing it you are already in Canada. So now I am already in Canada but I didn't "land". So my question is if I could go to the Vancouver Int'l Airport and find an immigration counter to perform the landing procedure. I am only in Canada for a few days and going back to the states so I have to figure it out while I am here. Thanks for all the responses.

No - you can't land at the airport as you've described. You can only land at the airport if you are coming into Canada on an international flight.

You'll have to cross into a Canada again via a US/Canadian land border. Make sure you make it very clear this time that you are landing and becoming a PR.

Good luck.
