I received my PR card yesterday; it took exactly 35 days.

I received it at my home. I was already living in Canada with my wife as I had a work permit.

I got my ppr ,i have to land within june 2010,Im thinking of landing in calagry.So how is the IT-job market in calagry.What will be general pay for Java developer with 7 yrs of experience.

Are most of jobs are Permanent or contract jobs

One more issue...Can i give address of some virtual office address in canda/alberta for getting my PR card...

Salary varies depending on the experience, job, company... here is the wageinfo I found for alberta

Also depending on were you look for job you'll find permanent or contract positions... in my experience
eluta.ca and monster.ca have permanent positions
monster.ca and workopolis have contract positions

So for my landing formalities I may choice my friend's address or some other means .....

So do you got any suggestions .....

Satyac,
Though its required to give your permanent address in Canada but I've seen many ppl giving their friend's address.
Once PR is recieved, friend can forward the mail to US address.
But as I said this is not legitimate.

I'm going to Calgary this sunday to complete my PR formalities. I'm planning to move there permanently during summer as my company agreed to transfer me to Calgary.

I'll post my experience after coming back.
