LANDED..........
Planned Feb 2016
I got PR and plan to land in Canada for the first time in next couple of months.

My question is about the fund - PoF, for 3 family members I have to show nearly 20000 CAD.

Do I need to carry all money with me to Canada (by any means like cash,TC, or transfer to my new canada bank acct)?

I mean all 20000 CAD needs to be shifted to Canada with me?

or can I take only some required amount like 10000 CAD and show rest of money as balance in my native country's bank account?

I carried maybe $130 in cash and bank statements for my landing.

I already landed in Montreal and went back.

Hi,

I just landed last week in Vancouver, its not compulsory for you to carry all the cash. If you want to carry that much cash on you it may be alright.

Ideally a bank statement showing that you have enough funds in your account from your home country and some cash for running around before you transfer the money from your home country to Canadian bank should do.

thanks for replying.

but still not got it clearly

is it OK if I land with only some month's required expenses with me,
keep all the remaining money in my native country's bank only, means never transfer it to Canada?

No matter at time of landing or later on, but do I have to transfer the fund to Canada or not?

hiiiiiiiiiii every body
i will land to winnipeg .manitoba next month
what is the minimum amount of money should i have when landing and what are the required documents should i have with me for applying for the pr

Is a fresh bank statement legally accepted as POF ?

Thanks
