Landing experience Vancouver - please shade

Hello all, I am planning to travel by road from USA to Vancouver in a couple of months. Please share the experience you had at the border and what kind of questions you were asked. Were you asked questions about your status in USA? I am planning to rent a trailer to fitt in my belongings, do you know if this will be an issue?

Yes they will ask your status in USA. Good advise is that you just have to be honest and tell the truth. If you lie and they find out than you will be in more problem. I moved from USA almost 3 years ago like you with all my stuff and they was no problem at all. Good luck

Thank you! I have read about importing the car from USA to Canada, and it seems that prior to departure it has to be exported from USA, the title and other documents have to be sent to US Customs. Can you please tell me what is the entire process? Did you do it yourself, or hired a customs broker? Did you contact the customs at the land border or it can be done at any customs office on USA territory?

Do they ask the status in the US only for the primary applicant or for the whole family?

Only for the primary appliant but they may ask or may not ask at all about rest of the family. Dont worry you are coming to canada legally and you have the visa and what ever happened in usa leave it all behind and move on with your life.
