I am about to land in Canada as a new Immigrant. I am currently in New York City and I was thinking about going to Montreal with the Greyhound Bus Service. My question is, since I will be a 1st time immigrant, will they take me off the bus to process me in the system? Ha anyone else ever done this before, is it even possible to land this way? I will appreciate any input and all of your responses. Thank you dearly...

I landed by Greyhound though through Champlan, Montreal. No matter, process is the same.
There is no need to change bus. The bus gives a good break time for the immigration/customs. It doesn´t take long to process new landing, unless any specific issue comes up. In general the bus waits even little longer, if it is too long they they leave and you have to take the next bus. For me, the process was less than 10 mins, though it was long back.
By the way, GreyHound is the only bus service available in the USA, believe the same in Canada. You may see some local names but they are all greyhound. They can have several routes as well. Once I went to Montreal from the US midwest, it crossed the Windsor border and went Montreal through Toronto.
