LANDED..........
1 Husband ETA - August 1, 2015!
So in anticipation of my husbands arrival, I was just wanting some clarification on customs forms/landing, as we are flying together. I will be going for a week to visit and he is returning with me August 1st. firstly, the customs declaration, it is 1 per family, do we constitute that ion this case or is it better to complete separate forms as I was away on a visit? Also, I have a Nexus card, but can I go to the main line with him, and do we go to visitors or residents? I've never avoided the Nexus line so nut sure how that works....

For landing, you go as a visitor because until the landing formalities are completed, that's what he is. You don't have to be with him, but there is no problem with staying by his side. Use separate Customs declaration forms as you haven't been "living at the same address". http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/e311-eng.pdf
