Landing after COPR

Hello,

AOR on August 10 and COPR on January 28 :) goes by really fast when you relax and stop thinking about it :D

When I first applied for EE, I selected BC as my province of choice.
Now I still want to eventually settle in Vancouver BC, but I am planning on first landing in Toronto or Windsor simply because I have friends there who can help me settle in when I first arrive, would be hard to arrive at a place where you know nobody :/
Is that acceptable ? Would the immigration officer ask any questions or cause any trouble since the COPR mentions BC?

My other question is regarding funds, I would rather not carry cash and do a wire transfer after opening a bank account in Canada. Would a recent bank statement be ok as a POF at landing ?

Good luck to all those still waiting :)

Regards

Hello Rakesh,

I got a response on another forum saying "As long as you weren't selected under a PNP program, your destination city doesn't matter unless you intend to reside in Quebec and don't have a CSQ". I hope someone on this forum who went through the actual process would verify this.

In my case I was not selected under BC PNP, and I don't intend to land/reside in Quebec, so I guess I should not have any issues landing in Toronto or Windsor.
