Do the IO accept our canadian address only if we are renting or owing that place? Please help

You don't have to rent or own a canadian address! If you have a friend and he/she is willing to receive and send the PR card to you in your home country, you can provide your friend's address to the IO.

Rented place short time/ long time is all right, so is address of guest houses. Only criteria is that somebody should handover the PR cards to you after receiving even when you have moved out.
