Hi,

We as a family of three(myself, my wife and my son) entered Canada on July 6th, 2015 at the Toronto International Airport. My wife is the principal applicant. Today my wife checked the ECAS and found that it mentions-You became a permanent resident of Canada. So, I entered my UCI to see what it says--nothing came up. Tried with COPR- nothing came up.

I called the CIC and the lady took all the details, made sure and told me that even though myself and my son are permanent residents, our applications have NOT been closed and she said these mistakes are rare. She said she is going to send my details to the immigration officer who processed our landing documents and will be updated in a week or two.

I asked the lady--AM I A PERMANENT RESIDENT? She said--you are. DO I NEED TO DO THE LANDING AGAIN-No you don't.

Did this ever happen before to anybody?

Thanks

You're worrying unnecessarily. ECAS is wrong all of the time. My husband's ECAS didn't show "decision made" until 2 weeks after he landed (yes - you read that right). And it didn't reflect his landing until almost two months later.

Thanks Scylla.

The fact that the immigration officer did not close my application on the date of landing(as acknowledged by the lady from CIC) shows that the officer was complacent when processing my landing. He processed my wife's landing properly and her details are available on ECAS as permanent resident and not mine as he did not close my case.

I tried to enter my UCI/COPR number starting with T --nothing came up on my CIC-APPLICATION STATUS
