Hello All,

I am a landed immigrant in Canada. I have been here for the last one year and have received my PR card. I am going back to my home country for a month and would like to know if there are any formalities that I need take care of. What documents will I be asked to show while flying out and coming back?

Thanks.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
No special formalities for a landed immigrant while going out from Canadian Airports. Show your passport and PR Card while check in at the air line counter. After that keep the PR Card safe in the wallet. You don't need it till you return to Canada. Ensure you should have the PR card with you when landing in Canada after your vacation.

That's right... no issues whatsoever, just that u require your PR card to board the 'return' flight & while entering a Canadian POE. Remember, while exiting u don't have the immigr. check as well. It's only on returning.

Thanks Wilson and Qorax.

On another note, I would like to send a bike (not motor) to my cousin in India by ship. But, it depends on the costs involved in customs, taxes and transportation on Canadian and Indian sides. If anyone sent goods overseas, and would be able to help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate.

Thanks again.
