Land in Detroit then cross the land border to Ontario

Hi. So my parents are approved for PR. Can they land in Detroit Michigan then cross the land border instead of landing in Toronto? Detroit airport is closer to us than Toronto airport. Thank you.

Some land borders don’t do 24/7 landings, but this probably concerns the ones closest to Toronto, so you’ll have to check. But your plan should be fine. You can search this forum for Detroit-Windsor Tunnel landings. Might also be easier to get flights to Detroit than Windsor.
