Hi everyone,

I'm writing for your advice on my POE. I'm 3 months away from being eligible to enter the pool for experience class.

I was laid off last month, and after checking my POE it states:

"(Section 16. REASON FOR ISSUING THIS ROE): Dismissal or suspension"

"(Section 18. COMMENTS): not suitable for the job position."

I have read other forums and from my understand, being laid off doesn't affect your application. However, my concern is with the comments "not suitable for the job position". Would the comment here affect my application?

I find the comment unfair and wanted to contact my previous employer to change it, but before that, I wanted to know if it was worth doing so.

From my research as well, I read that comments in Block 18 should only be written in exceptional circumstances. What are your thoughts here?

Thank you everyone for your help in advance!

No, this won't impact your application. Why you were laid off is irrelevant.
