Labeling of ID photos

Hi all,

as part of the application I need to attach 8 recent ID photos (I think the number depends on the country of origin).
I read in other posts that some people write the name behind these pics.

In the guide I dont see anything about labeling these pictures. So it is unclear to me if I have to do anything with them.

Do I have to label these photos? label none, write my name in just one photo or all? Do I have to sign them or similar?

Thank you!

Check the application guide. It depends which pathway to PR you're taking, but when I did mine for Provincial Nominee PR there were more details in the document checklist (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5690E.pdf). In this case it says:

"Include six (6) photos for each member of your family, whether accompanying or not, and yourself. Follow the instructions provided in the section How to Complete the Forms of the application guide and in Appendix A: Photo Specifications. Photos must have been taken within six (6) months before application submission. On the back of five (5) of the photographs, write the name and date of birth of the person who appears in the photo as well as the date the photo was taken. Leave the sixth photograph blank.

So find the document checklist that's appropriate for your application, and check the details there (the above text is for provincial nominees so make sure to get the right one).
