Kids education on parents work permit

Hi people,

I am just about begin my work permit process and would like to know:

>>if kids will be able to study free in public schools or are there any charges.
>>Will the insurance be covered for kids as well, without paying from my pocket.


Appreciate advise that will help me take a decision soon.

On temporary work permit, you usually (I think always) get provincial health insurance (that is in most provinces for free) which covers your family members (spouse and kids accompanying you).

Your children can go to public schools for free.

We are assuming that the children have valid status (you may need to apply for them for visitor or study permit).
