Hi, everyone! Today is a good day :D

My wife checked her ECAS earlier and it said decision made! Woooo So out of curiosity we checked out mailbox and BAM, COPR was there!
It took 3 months, which I think is crazy fast!|

Now here are my questions...

She applied outland and has been with me in Edmonton. Now she needs to land.

Question 1: Does she need to leave the country for this and come back in? Or can it be done at a CIC Office in here town?

Question 2: Her Visitors Visa expires Tuesday...Now does this really matter anymore since she received her COPR? Or is it still very important for her to leave Canada before by Monday and come back in?

Question 3: How long after she lands does it take to for her to be able to work? We are in Alberta.

Thanks!!

She can also go to Carway or other land border and do a flagpole landing. She would able to work immediately after getting her SIN.

Edit: Disregard that, I figured out what a flag pole crossing it. Thanks for your help!

Hi MrJon,
When did you submit the pp & other requirements? I am waiting for my visa for nearly two months. I sent it to VFS on 03 Jul. Ecas is still in process.

i believe your application is at a different visa office than the original poster, who is visa exempts, so knowing when he received his request will not help you determine what is happening with your application. i suggest finding the thread specific to your visa office and asking there how long it takes.

My husband and I just drove from Edmonton to Coutts last weekend so he could land. He went to Service Canada on Monday morning to get his SIN and could have start working that day, if he had a job.
